"I've done so much, with so little,
for so long, that , now,
I'm pretty much qualified to do anything with nothing."
Why does this page exist? That's a very good question and the answer is long
and complicated and involves metaphysics and search engines and planetary
alignments. Occasionally, the answer also involves high-grade Scotch,
numerology and the Tarot, as well, but rarely does it ever make sense
to anyone but me.
Some of it, of course, is my own somewhat dated aesthetic sense of what
the web is and does and how my pages should look. Also, it's partly because
I'm lazy and don't update this site enough. On the other hand, that's why
I started blogging so many, many years ago, even though the blog on this site
has languished a bit in recent years. I'm working on that, though, I promise.
It's just hard to generate content when you're a full-time Network Geek, a
photographer, an avid reader and consumer of science-fiction films, not to mention married! (You can see my wife's site at The Organizing Decorator.)
And, for my less network-geeky efforts, as well as my more current blog, you can
always check out my other site at JKHoffman.com.
One of the many things you'll find here is The
Amazing IT Title Generator . It's more of a toy than a tool, but I
did the PERL myself, so I'm fairly proud of it. You also might like my
sadly out of date List O' Links. And, if you
ever wonder why people live in Houston instead of Chicago, looking at
the weather might explain it to you. Then again,
it might not. You're on your own there. One last comment before you move
on to other areas of interest here. I have two other sites that are wholely
mine, so don't blame the genius web designer for how the look. One, which
is also in sad need of update is HavePalmWillTravel
and the other, which is somewhat more current if less impressive, is Fantasist.net.
Check them out and have fun.
Oh, one last thing, remember to "Save
Wil Wheaton". (Hey, check the blog
for details.)
Hey, I won an award! I'm an official geek, now.
